WELCOME
Dr. Vidulich is a principal investigator at the Cognitive Assessment Laboratory in the Human Engineering Division of Armstrong Laboratory located on Wright-Patterson AFB. The CAL is primarily directed to develop and validate tools for the Air Force Test and Evaluation community. Dr. Vidulich's research involves the development of a subjective measurement technique (i.e., the Subjective WORkload Dominance (SWORD) technique), and several studies investigating the potential utility of the secondary task technique. Development and validation of these mental workload tools involved laboratory research investigating attentional processes in dual- or multi-task environments. Dr. Vidulich has assisted in their application to the assessment of Air Force systems in both simulator and in-flight testing. Dr. Vidulich is currently investigating the potential role of situation awareness (SA) in Air Force systems. He has collaborated with other laboratory researchers on an annotated bibliography of over 200 SA research papers. |
