Dr.Wilson is a research psychologist in the Performance Assessment and Interface Technology Branch in the Armstrong Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB. He is the principal investigator and task manager for basic and applied research projects using psychophysiological methods to investigate human cognition and perception. These investigations are concerned with providing a better understanding of human performance, especially with regard to cognitive workload, using psychophysiological measures that are sensitive to task difficulty and workload manipulations. Cardiac, respiration, eye and brain wave measures are used in these studies. These investigations make use of laboratory, simulator and flight environments to study human performance in single and multiple task situations.
